Just when you thought...

...you'd left your youth behind
...you'd never have to listen to folk music again
...you'd forgotten all your old friends from school

Spinaker
reunion concert

Spinaker was the name of a vocal harmony band
which sang about life, death, the second coming, death,
vile reality, a little bit of politics, spirituality, death and Jesus.
We were young and remarkably foolish, but very eager
to sing about our faith wherever people would listen.
We were schoolboys but we certainly knew
how to do a pleckypick, we understood the value of araldyte (holding together Charlie the double bass)
and many of us had (at least) the

Kosegin Tricky Dicky Golda Meir Saddat Blues.

For pics of us when we were young,

Do you remember Jimmy? Remember Mr Tomlinson? Well, hallo Mary-Lou (down, derry-derry-derry down); and what did I find? Lord, I'm one, Lord I'm two; all in a dream, all in a dream... he conjoured wine at weddings and did tricks with fish & bread. The future's an illusion; I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end. Put your sandals on!
